PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL ANIMAL LISTS AND POINTS OF CONTACT WITH CLOUT NATIONALLY AND IN COLORADO.

A trusted friend of mine just told me that one of the Republican-minded ballot initiatives in Pueblo, Colorado (it may be statewide, she didn't know for
sure) is to PRIVATIZE the animal shelters.  The contractor has expressed the intent to put most of the animals to sleep (by incineration) in order to "cut

People need to be told not to be tricked by the language of the initiative. My friend says that the ONLY THING THAT CAN STOP THIS IS TO GET AN EMERGENCY ALERT ON TV/RADIO IN THE PUEBLO, COLORADO AREA.

A little local organization called Volunteers for Inner Valley Animals (VIVA) is trying to make the public aware of the intent of this privitization scheme but are woefully underfunded in doing so.  Can you help?  The VIVA contact person my friend sent me is: Marilyn at 719-542-2312

Nothing statewide as far as I know.

And I'm sure Pueblo (ask CO Liberal) will reject that initiative.
