The Calm Before.
I used to feel like this the night before a tournament, back in my karate tournament days. Or the night before starting a rock tour.

It wasn't a bad feeling at all.

Whatever happens tomorrow, we have each other, the history we have created here and the knowledge that so much of this campaign and the issues raised in it found their first breaths here, on DU.

They know we are here. They know we are a force to be reckoned with. All of them, on both sides.

No Retreat. No Surrender.

We shall prevail, finally, and take our country back from these fascists who've hijacked it from us.

No more complacency. No more "my vote doesn't matter". No more pretending that the other side will play by the rules or treat the minority party with anything other than contempt.

I'm hoping this election will say to the world, "Sorry, we lost our minds there for a bit. We've calmed down and promise to govern rationally. You can all come out from your bomb shelters now."
