9. that's because more red states have early voting than blue states
lots of early voting in Texas, e.g.

IIRC, polls say that Kerry leads decisively in battleground states.

Bush has a seven point margin in a sample that should give him a twenty point margin.

Toast.

includes heavy Red states like Texas and that's why Bush leads that.

But Kerry leads early voting in battleground states(look at early IA and FL numbers).

http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=105&STORY=/www/story/11-01-2004/0002349678

Many voters have already voted
One of the several differences between this and previous elections is that
almost a quarter of all the votes will have been cast early, mostly by mail.
In 2000 we found that eight percent (8%) of voters cast their vote early.
Now we estimate that approximately 24 percent of all this year's votes have
already been cast. These voters have given an early 50 to 44 percent lead to
President Bush over Senator Kerry.

23. Mathematically impossible.
Unless of the 100% of the 24% who have voted, 5% either didn't vote for president or voted for Nader, etc.

24. But in the BATTLE ground states like florida
The numbers are reversed.

I heard a third of the state had already voted and the exit polling is showing 51-44 Kerry's favor.
