The first polls open in less than an hour!
Paula Zahn just reminded me that the polls open in Dixville Notch NH at midnite. It usually takes less than an hour for the entire town to vote. Damn. I was getting ready for bed - I have to be at the polls by 6:30 am.

1. You're right! They announced that this morning.
Isn't this the town that only has like 13 people? I can't remember if they announce who they voted for, or poll them all? I remember this from 2000, but can't recall exactly how they handle it.

They're a Republican town, IIRC....

11. That's how I remember it

The repubs took it, but only by about 60/40 IIRC, and it's a very small town.

On edit: Seeing the post below with results, it appears I don't RC...

9. Dixville Notch is VERY Republican.
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 11:18 PM by MallRat
2000- 27 votes
Bush: 21
Gore: 5
Nader: 1

1996- 28 votes
Dole: 18
Clinton: 8
Perot: 1
Browne: 1

1992- 30 votes
Bush: 15
Perot: 8
Marrou: 5
Clinton: 2

1988- 38 votes
Bush: 34
Dukakis: 3
Kemp: 1

Basically, if Bush doesn't win Dixville Notch by at least 10 or so votes, well... actually, I guess it doesn't really mean anything.

12. We'll always have Dixville Notch
Remember my fellow Clarkies?

This has been quite a year. And it will all be worth it tomorrow.

I hope they go live to Dixville Notch at midnight...just for the heck of it!
