Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 02:57 AM by jezebel
First they messed up Dixville Notch (initially reporting tied then correcting it to 19, 7,1)

Hart's Location was initially reported as 15-15. Now AP is saying Bush 16, Kerry 14.

If they cannot count and report the votes correctly with such a small sample what is going to happen tonight?

1. You're fucking kidding me.
Folks, be weary of any state called for us. They'll no doubt "correct" themselves moments later.

I'm having a bad flashback.

Compared to 17 Bush, 13 Gore in 2000.

We one one over :)!!

Edit: We won 2 over in Dixville Notch.

5. The story doesn't have the early F up.. too bad.
The link on Yahoo has been changed to reflect that the results are clean with these numbers, no recounts. How do you serioulsy miscount on 30 votes? Where are the New Hampshire in breeding jokes? HAHA.

12. Then they should add a disclaimer stating they are testing their
website and using test data to display results. One line of HTML is all it takes.

17. The Rocky Mountain News had a disclaimer
Displayed before and after the test went "live."

But not on the page itself.

19. I built the elections results reporting web site for a county in Georgia
We tested the hell out of it, using a DEVELOPMENT server, not the live web site. That way, it was not possible for anyone to see the testing numbers. This is standard operating procedure.

If these guys deviated from the SOP it's either out of bias or incompetence.

8. Wait a minute...
didn't I read on another thread that Kerry won Dixville Notch? Everyone was so excited. Now AP is saying Bush-19, Kerry-7.

13. This is not a good start.
They can't report the results of two towns correctly that had about 60 voters?

I feel like there's a disaster in the making.

16. The AP is reporting all vote totals tonight for the news networks
They're supposed to be like the clearing house for the voting results. I thought yesterday that this wouldn't be a problem but this fiasco in New Hampshire concerns me quite a bit.

15. Couldn't they just do a head count?
If it's vote fraud, the townspeople will figure it out sooner or later.
