Just returned from voting for Kerry!!!!!!!
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 07:19 AM by helpisontheway
It felt so good to finally cast my vote for this wonderful man! I live in a small town and the lines were long with more people trying to park. I noticed quite a few young people in line too!

4. VA and there were a lot of people there!
I was really surprised. THe booths were in a gym and the line ran through the gym and wrapped around this really large foyer and then extended out into the parking lot. THere were lots of Kerry signs and only a Kerry worker there at that time. The parking lots were really getting packed by the time I left (they have 3 lots).

3. I just voted in Delaware

my polling place is right up on the corner in a church. I have not seen any lines there in years. I got there 15 minutes before the poll opened and was about 20th in line. By the time the doors opened at 7, the line had tripled.

5. I was second person to vote in my district
The first was the Democratic poll watcher, who has to vote to see that the machine is working. Then me, then the woman behind me who was voting for Kerry, (she told me), then my husband. So, there are 4 votes for Kerry.

A very Republican county, but I will bet that our city goes for Kerry. Lines were steady, and moving well at 6 AM. When I left, there were 8 people waiting to vote and more arriving constantly.

This is upstate NY.
