The turnout is looking great. It wasn't a long wait to vote -- took me maybe 15 minutes -- but my ward's polling station has always been very fast and efficient.
What really showed the turn-out was how cars were lined up far up and down the street from the elementary school where we vote. I've never seen more than a few cars spill-over from the school's parking lot before, and never had to park so far away.
If turn-out favors Democrats, and I'm pretty sure that it will in this election, Kerry is doing GREAT here.
From 12-8pm I'll be driving around getting more people in to vote, so I'll be doing what I can to make the turn-out even bigger.
The only thing I want to see more of is young voters. There were only a few when I was at the polling station, but I'm hoping that more of them voted earlier than I did (I got to the polls around 8:00) or are coming later in the day. I think Kerry has this state wrapped up now, but I don't want to be overconfident, and I want the win to be as big as possible regardless.
WOO HOO!!! (Sorry, can't contain the excitement. I think we're going to win this one!)
