My 33 year voting record is still squeaky CLEAN!
I voted a straight Democratic ticket again, no hanging chads, no Bull!

I punched two chads out, checked to make sure the right holes were where they should have been by the numbers and BAM! I voted for the state amendment to pay the Vets a war bonus and the families of the soldiers KIA a six thousand dollar check, and I also voted for every democrat on the ticket!

I Feel Good;
I Knew that I would now;
I feel Nice;
A sugar an spice;
So Good;
So Nice;
I Porked Bush!!!!!

The parking lot was still full at 9:00 am eastern and the Geratol crowd were mostly sporting John Kerry bumper stickers, much like mine! No problems did I see! The weather is beautiful here in Charleston WV, with a slight chance of rain this afternoon! I started to vote early, but then I thought about all the fun I'd miss out on! My wife voted about 7:00 am and she said the crowd was fairly heavy early! BTW, I carried my walking stick to be on the safe and sunny side! I'd say better than average turnout!

4. Why, thank you canuckybee!
I feel very up-beat instead of very beat-up this time around! I'd have flogged any Freeper bully type who crossed me, in a heartbeat! Hell' I was kind of sorry I didn't run on to any!

2. Always voted straight Dem
Except for left leaning independants.

I think I voted for one of them once when there was no Dem in the race to vote for.

3. Where the hell have you been Flotz?
You've been MIA....I had thought some-thong wearing aliens from the Republican Party had hijacked you!

:-)

Just got back doing my civic duty, too.....didn't take too long and, unlike going to the Dentist's office, was quite painless!

6. 24 years for me
Voted this morning, and was disgusted to see that several offices only had Republicans running (a shock, after living in San Francisco for most of my life).

I've never voted for a Rethuglican for any office in my life and I'm not about to start now. I was tempted to check the "other" box and write in Saddam Hussein, but I figure in these parts they'd hunt me down and find me. Left those offices blank. Screw 'em.

8. At least we always knew where Saddam Hussein was comin'...
from! The GOPers are trying to run the kind of elections Saddam Hussein ran, it looks like! I think the voters are going to give Shrub a dose of "Shock and Awe" today! I hope the shrub has room in the royal hidey hole for KKKarl and Dick too!

7. 22 years for me, here.
And as I posted on another thread, I punched the hole for 'no on Ohio Issue 1' several times. It's the homophobe amendment (not only makes 'gay marriages' and civil unions illegal forever, but also makes it illegal for corporations to recognize and offer benefits to couples who aren't 'legally married'), and I visualized jabbing the jerks who wrote it in the eyeball with the stylus, after the first time.

10. I surprised me there wasn't an ammendment about church ...
snakes on the ballot here in WV! I poked at those two chads I punched out, for about five minutes! I kept thinking that I was poking Kathlene Harris, in some tender spot where the sun don't shine, with a dull stylus! I had to quit thinkg that horrid thought, because it almost made me hurl!

9. I can't claim a straight Democratic history but have never failed to vote
Every opportunity starting with the CA primary in 1976.

:toast:

I vote for candidates, with party affiliation as a tie-breaker when all other factors seem equal.

11. Nixon drafted me and I'll never forgive or forget!
That was just the first strike against the crooked bastards! Back then draft aged kids didn't have the right to vote! They just had the right to go get their asses shot off! Draft aged kids have the right to vote today and they'd be damned smart to exercise that right! Bush will start more shit in the middle east if he gets the chance! You can bet on it!

Karl Rove said, "War is good for GOP politics!" War is the GOPer's CASH COW! James Bakkker and Poppy Bush are getting rich off of the war in Iraq!

19. Nixon was "the one" without a doubt
He's the #1 reason I registered as a Democrat in 1976 when I turned 18.

20. Nixon was almost as big a bastard as the Bush Bunch!
So was Reagan! Ford was just a stooge like Dumbya!

The best the GOP has to offer is a gang of thieves and back stabbers! The next to the last GOPer governor of WV, did three years in the federal slammer for stealing 3 million dollars from the taxpayers! When they tell me they are GOP that's all I need to know!

Most of the cowardly Repigs who run for any office in this state NEVER have the word republican on their signs or TV ads! I wonder why that is? The democrats always say they are democrats, up front! If WV is a "RED STATE" why do republicans who are always begging for a job, ALWAYS, hide the fact that they are republicans? Do the GOPers hide their party affiliation in your state and local races?

This is also the first year my desire to push the repubs out has been this strong, too.

13. Why would working people vote to put Republicans in the White
House! Look at the GOPer's record all the way back to Grant! Nothing but recessions depressions and sharp down turns in the economy! Do people just want to remain poor? Is that why working people vote GOP?

15. Who wants to vote so blindly?
Before this election I voted for the people, not the party. I'm including local, state and federal elections.

It was always the person who was running which counted for me, not the party. Since I've never been one to follow the herd, I voted for what was right for me.

I did the same here and for the first time in my life I voted a straight democratic ticket. That's what's best for me and this country, IMO.

Next election, who knows?

18. ME for one
I'd be ashamed of myself if once in 34 years, I had voted for a republican..... BTW, my vision is 20-20.

17. Congrats on your fine record, sir
I have just voted for the 38th straight year. I was eligible to vote at age 21 in 1966 and have never failed to execute my right.
