Just finished Election Protection stint...off to canvass 'til 4pm

Worked the early Election Protection poll duty in South Orlando. VERY strong turnout. At 10:30, lines were about an hour long...but fortunately indoors under A/C. There were a lot of elderly people. Few problems. Three people were rejected (wrong polling place) and are going to have to go to the next precinct (their fault). Fortunately, they checked this b4 they had to wait in line.

The problem seems to be that for the last two weeks, you could vote at any county library. When you arrived, they would pull up the ballot that is appropriate for your precinct and you could vote.

Today, the precincts only have ballots for their locale. I think people are still under the belief that the county-wide option is still available.

Now, time for a quick sandwich, then off to League of Conservation Voters for four hours of door-to-door.

WE WILL PREVAIL!
