Factoring in dirty tricks, which state do we have the best chance at?
FL, OH, or a surprise state like CO?

Without the dirty tricks factor, I would say that CO is a distant third, but WITH the dirty tricks factor, maybe our best bet is to actually grab a surprise state like CO.

Between FL and OH, I would say FL would be the stronger state in an HONEST election, but, again, I don't know how the dirty tricks factor will affect that. Maybe the OH dirty tricks machine is not quite as well-oiled as Florida's.

I think we can count on all the Gore states plus NH, so then we'd need only 6 more electoral votes to win. CO is 9, and of course OH and FL are 20 and 27. But any one of the three would be enough, and with FL and OH we even have plenty of wiggle room for a surprise upset/theft in an expected Blue state.

1. Dirty tricks only count if it's close. With big turnout, we'll just plain
WIN lots o' states!

2. But we NEED either FL or OH or a surprise state like CO.
No matter how good the turnout is nationwide, there are certain traditional "red" states that we just have to expect Bush to win. After the 264 "blue" votes I mentioned, the next best shot is OH or FL in an honest election. If we can't get those, we WILL need a suprise state, and CO seems to be our best shot. So are we more likely to snatch a surprise state, or more likely to ensure an honest election in OH and/or FL?

3. But if we get big turnout in OH and FL, you don't need an honest election
per se, cuz cheating only works when it's really close.

I think Kerry will take more states than you think....!
