2. It IS 538.
Obviously someone was tired, and made a simple mistake.

3. 435 for the house, 100 for the senate, and 3 for Washington D.C.
It was a simple mistake is all I think.

4. Not sure -- may have to do with the one Ohio electoral vote.
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 12:00 PM by nownow
We have a state representative who's an elector, he's a Dem. The GOP in Ohio will challenge his electoral vote, if Kerry wins Ohio, because elected officials aren't supposed to serve as partisan electors (guessing he was an elector before he was elected). It's stupid, but true. Wonder if they're accounting for this?

5. No, it's in the Ohio constitution.
Or something like that... I saw the proof that he is definitely allowed to be an elector... I guess, though, that the non-reality based community could challenge anything.

6. I just know there was some question about it last week.
Glad to hear it's not going to be a problem, but I wondered if maybe that was the issue. The Ohio congress (which is made up of 22 Rs and 11 Ds) would have had to approve it, that was the issue, I think. Some had suggested the GOP might challenge him as an elector, but maybe it's not an issue now.
