Straight Party Ticket In N.C. Does Not Include Presidential Vote
Straight Party Ticket In N.C. Does Not Include Presidential Vote

POSTED: 6:25 pm EST November 1, 2004

RALEIGH, N.C. -- North Carolina is one of only two states (South Carolina), where a straight party ticket does not include the race for president.

Voters need to choose that candidate separately.

This year for the first time, judicial races are non-partisan, so they are listed separately as well.

If you have any questions, you are asked to contact your precinct official.

This is Mickey Mouse. I hope they notified the democrats of this and not just the repukes.

Through the ballot and check all the choices. This is the second report of Straight ticket not working. We waited four years for this people, take the extra minuet and check all the boxes avoid the straight ticket.

2. The Democratic party has made it pretty clear.
I get e-mails on a daily basis from the county party; they always emphasize this.

3. when I voted early, they were explaining this pretty well, plus they
had signs up etc. etc. It is kind of screwed up that the ballot is like that, but from what I saw they were doing their best to instruct people.
