This is NOT a Horserace!
Nor is it a football game, an olympic race, or any other sort of damn athletic contest!

This is our Democracy, the future of our children and the fate of many thousands of lives around the world!

THAT is what is happening today and I'm sick as hell of seeing people talk about it as if it were a sporting event! It's exactly that attitude that lets so many people sit back and armchair quarterback it all, abdicating their responsibilities to be informed or to actually participate in any meaningful fashion. We MUST reclaim the IDEA of what we are about as much as we must reclaim the presidency.

*thanks, just had to get that out.*

2. I agree with your very good point. In this country, we have strongly
established the sports metaphor for almost any sort of meaningful activity. This lessens the activity, and strengthens the idea of sports, especially non-participatory spectator sports, as our default mindset. "How 'bout them Cowboys?"

3. Great point

The medica mecca is doing all they can to promote it just as a sporting event and not as a meaningful dialoge in our Democracy.

This is how they get people to watch which pulls in the advertisers.

LOLOLOL!

Sorry, it was too tempting!

I take this as seriously as anybody but I'm not going to repost the tens of thousands of words I've posted in the past to prove it to you or anybody.

We take our country back today, and its time for the lazy to take part. Learn it, Know it, Live it.
