Give me a break. Exit poll data isn't the same as votes. Anyone on this site should be smart enought to know that. Is there actually anyone here who is NOT going to vote b/c of encouraging exit poll data? Don't treat me/us like children.

4. It's because early exit poll data is unreliable
and because you want people to keep voting in all 50 states--we've got House & Senate seats to worry about too and you want everyone, everywhere to have the opportunity to vote and to have that vote COUNT.

7. Everyone knows they're unreliable. Does that mean we shouldn't see them?
That's a bit like the osterich sticking its head in the sand. It's just data...reliable or not.

Whatever.

PS. I do recall that in 2000 the early exit poll data looked good for Gore also.
