20. These are all great ideas BUT.

Please tell us more about how the poor insurance companies are the victims. Also, please be sure to include lots of spelling and grammar errors.

9. I'll take WallStreet Journal's screech about him with a big dose of
salt. WSJ, IMO, has never been an advocate of consumer issues.

8. I second that wholeheartedly
Spitzer has really shown he is unafraid of seeking true justice and enforcing rules, something so rare in the chummy world of government/corporation collusion these days.

Hevesi is the one who wrote to Sinclair, not Spitzer.

15. I think it may be Eric Holder instead
For one thing, if Spitzer is appointed AG, then Chuck Schumer will run for governor of New York, which may result in Rudy Giuliani or George Pataki running for Chuck's senate seat.

Second, it is important that an African American be appointed to an important cabinet position. Appointing an African American to run the Department of Justice would be a very significant reward to one of the most loyal Democratic constituencies. And Holder is certainly qualified for the job, having served as deputy AG under Clinton.

Don't get me wrong, I think Spitzer would be a great AG. But there are some downsides.

19. good choice - I like Dennis Archer for AG as well
See my post below. I've been disappointed in DU over the past several months for the lack of minorities in the near daily "pick Kerry's cabinet" threads.

After Bill Clinton bringing us a 'Cabinet that looks like America' and Bush (for all his faults) having some high profile non-white male advisors in Condi Rice, Colin Powell & Alberto Gonzalez, Kerry would get REAMED if he had an all white male cabinet.

18. No way - I want Spitzer as governor of NY
My choice is Dennis Archer, former mayor of Detroit & the first African American to head up the Bar Association.
