3. It's not about yard sign design, it's about name recog. and keeping up
with the Jones. I.E. I do what my neighbors do...and my neighbors are voting KERRY from the looks of it!!! :bounce:

4. Believe it or not
A lot of thought goes into design and color when the decisions are made on these signs. Of course, no sane person one would base their decision to vote for someone based on the design of a yard sign, but keep in mind their purpose is visibility. Name recognition and branding are important. Getting the candidates name out is big.

6. Branding...
was something the Bush camp attempted to do with "W". It was just to easy to morph that into ugly epithets, though (Wrong, Wimpy, etc.) so they dropped it.

Branding can go horribly wrong.

5. Is it just me?
Or are the yard signs practically indistinguishable this time? You have to look close to see if it's a B/C sign or a K/E sign. They're the same colors and layout.

At least around here.

What's up with that?

10. Kerry's signs are American-flag-blue background
while B-C's are a darker, navy blue. The connotation I get from the darker blue is "conservative, in control". The lighter blue connotation is "loyal, patriotic". That's just my perspective.

7. You can tell a lot from a design
Bush/Cheney = Corporate Logo
Kerry/Edwards = American Revolution

8. it can swing someone who doesnt follow to the winning side
Or at least as they perceive it. Its human nature to be on the winning team. And lots of Kerry signs makes it look like he is the winning side.

BTW i have 2 signs in my windows :)

12. I'm with you.
I don't think anyone's mind was ever changed by a bumper sticker or a yard sign.
But I still have them on/up.
;-)

13. Our signs are better.
White letters, blue background, red border. Shrubs are just blue around here. Kerry's show up from a distance.
