did anyone get called this morning to vote...?
I got one call from the local Democrats...and they asked me if I was going to vote today...I said that I was and they asked if I needed a ride...I told them no I was going to walk...and he said well thanks and please vote...I said..."Believe me I will and I am going to vote BushCo out, it's time for a change"...he laughed and said "Amen"...

So I went to vote and when I got home there was a message on my machine from someone telling me to vote for BushCo...the number on the ID said AZ republican something...

I am a registered democrat...why would they call me to vote for BushCo...????
Has anyone else gotten a call from a repub...???

24. We got that one too!!
I got it about 3 or 4 hours after I had already voted, but it was still fun once I figured out what it was.

6. My wife got a call from Laura Bush asking her to vote Repuke
and to support Mitch Daniels for governor (Indiana).

She registered as a Republican, and voted for Reagan twice and both Bushes. I finally convinced her that she was voting against our interests, and that she was a hypocrite against her near fundy Chistian values for voting Republican.

She is voting Kerry this time.

8. Yes, I just got a call from a repub
but I hung up on him. I'm sick of them and don't want to hear any more of their lies.

Earlier, I got a call from a Dem and we chatted for a while; he told me he's hearing good news from the people he's been phoning.

10. I have had two recorded calls from Franklin Graham, one from
Sean Hannity, one from Mel Martinez and then amazingly a recorded message from a democratic candidate for state house of reps. My only regret is one of these numbskulls didn't call in person so I could have hung up on them live rather than memorex.

No live calls I'm afraid. The dems know who I am and well, so do the repugs. They hate me and probably chant curses over my phone number when it comes up on their lists.

saying he supported Bill Lee for Governor (Delaware). I'm British so I can't vote anyway, but saying, "Go fuck yourself", and hanging up made me feel sooooooo good!

21. If they didn't say your name....
perhaps it was just random. My number is unlisted and my husband is registered to vote in FL, so I think my call was random.

18. All Day!
I work for a music promotions company out of my house so I'm on the phone all day. Somehow, they keep getting through. I've gotten 3 recordings (Danny Glover, Debra Messing and the Big Dog Big Willy Clinton himself) and one live person (INCREDIBLY nice lady, we actually talked for about 5 minutes, then I apologized for keeping her from her job).

I'm so happy I could cry right now. I'm loving this.

22. No, but
a few of the friends I had registered got calls from me!

"Hi, it's Sky! Just in case you didn't vote early, I'm calling to let you know the polls are open until 7pm today -- as long as you're in line by 7 they HAVE to let you vote; call me if you have any trouble, I love you..." yadda yadda yadda

This is what it's like in a non-swing state. We're kind of DU-it-yourself-ers. :)

TEXANS FOR KERRY!
