"CAN'T WE MAKE MY RED STATE BLUE?" Come sing along with me.
CAN'T WE MAKE MY RED STATE BLUE?

Thanks to Crystal Gayle and Richard Leigh for "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue?"
Music clicky thingy: http://users.cis.net/sammy/eyesblue.htm

I don’t know when I’ve been so blue.
What's our country gonna do?
We need someone new,
And can’t we make my Red State BLUE?

We’ll do fine when Bush is gone.
We’ll be laughing, all day long.
Let’s make this come true,
And can’t we make my Red State BLUE?

I’m tired of secrets, tired of lies,
Tired of excuses and alibis.
I’m sick and tired of Bush and his guys.
Now I just want to hear their “goodbyes”.

Don't know when I've been so sad.
Things have never been this bad,
But I know what to do.
I’ll be voting Kerry,
I’ll be voting Kerry
Gotta make my Red State BLUE.

I’m tired of secrets, tired of lies,
Tired of excuses and alibis.
I’m sick and tired of Bush and his guys.
Now I just want to hear their “goodbyes”.

Don't know when I've been so sad.
Things have never been this bad,
But I know what to do.
I’ll be voting Kerry,
I’ll be voting Kerry
Gotta make my Red State BLUE.

4. That's great!
We should definitely use it at our inaugural ball (get together, whatever).

9. I'm expecting an invitation to something in D.C.
I gave some serious actual cash money.
First time ever.

11. Trof, I'm going to the inauguration - tickets or no
I just want to be there to stand along the street. My uncle lives in one of those row houses down Capital Hill, so I will go stay with him and watch the festivities. Still, I am going to try to get tix to one of the inaugural events.

13. And in Alaska............
There is an ~~AWESOME~~ song written by a local band "Mr. Whitekeys and the Spamtones" which is said to be one of the most requested political songs across the nation.

It's written to the tune of the Lion Sleeps Tonight, and is called..

"The Liar Sleeps Tonight" :kick:

Dr. Demento's show says it's their second most requested song right now!

Problem is... I CAN'T find the song for free anywhere on the net  :(

Mr. Whitekeys, who wrote the song, owns the second most famous bar in Anchorage, "The Fly-By-Night-Club".. (the most popular bar is Chilkoot Charlies :) )

Anyway... it's another great song that came out of a red state, but really hit the big time nationally for political songs :)
