U.S. stocks end mixed in late-day sell off on poll talk, good for Kerry

I've been watching the market chat rooms, optisim that Kerry is going to take it tonight. We have the momentum, keep it up!

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- U.S. stocks staged a late-day sell-off Tuesday, with blue chips snapping a five-session winning streak to end lower and the Nasdaq paring gains amid reports that Senator John Kerry is putting in a strong early showing at the polls.

2. Well, the thing about that is that they've got it all ass-backwards.

The idiots kept saying the downturn in 2000 was because people were afraid Bush wouldn't get elected. They kept saying it would start going back up after he was elected. It didn't then, and it hasn't ever since.

Now the idiots have it all wrong again. The market might sell off initially if Kerry wins, but if they do I'm putting all my money back in stocks because a Kerry win will be huge for the stock market.
