I know it's basically a win for the next big thing in the democratic party, but I wanna hear it from some Illinoisians!

7. Local news just reported Cook County had 80% turnout.
It accounts for over half the state normally. They aren't coming out for Keyes.

11. It felt incredible!!
I remember going to dinner at a friend's home last February, and telling them that I was leaning toward Obama for the primary, and they said (both are well-educated liberals), "Never heard of him. What do you think of Blair Hull?" It looks like Barack came up like a comet, but he WORKED for every single vote he's receiving today.

I do not know of a single person that would ever consider voting for him. My bro-in-law lives in B'more & the instant he heard about keyes moving here to run, he declared him a nut-job. He is regularly on the local news here, breaking into song. He is a nut & we predicted that he will get approx. 5000 votes. Obama rocks & it should be a landslide victory.

12. My neighbors have a Keyes bumper sticker
I couldn't believe it, though I wasn't too suprised. They are really nice people, but they are extremely religious, and I'm sure are voting because of Keyes' religiosity.

Are you in a suburb? I wondered about the downstate Repubs & how they would feel about him. I have friends in Mt Vernon & they are very religious & I am sure even though one is repub & the other a dem, that because of how keyes feels about abortion that they may both vote for him.

13. In my Arlington Heights neighborhood,
the "Straight Republican Ticket" folks are the only ones who'd vote for Keyes.

And yeah....Punching Kerry/Edwards and the Obama was just GREAT!
