Michigan - The Other Perfect Storm...

Today, during a major snow storm....about 40 Dean supporters took to the streets to canvass for the Governor.....and here's what we found:

1) The fact that we were out at all impressed alot of the people who we met.....we got 4-6 inches while we were out walking....

2) Most of the people we met were undecided....and they seemed to welcome the information we were offering them....

A side note: every state the repugs control canceled the
primaries, forcing the Dems to hold a caucus, which
has changed the locations of the places of vote....so
getting out there and letting the public know about
this will only help come voting day...

3) We didn't find a single Dem who was supporting any candidate...but after we were done talking to them, many said they were leaning Dean...

4) I have become revitailized.....meeting fellow Dems who are not aware of the race, and being able to give them information face to face is just great!!!!

I don't think his supporters will split evenly towards Dean. I think the devide between his supporters and Dean's that they describe in Iowa is real and most likely to benefit a Clark or an Edwards or Kerry more than Dean

Also isn't Jennifer Granholm considering edorsing Kerry? My friend who goes to school in Ann Arbor interned for her.

She will back who ever wins the Michigan primary. Just a guess.

her husband and 2002 campaign manager are already working for Kerry

was trying to recruit talented Democrats to make media appearances. I'm not sure if it's realted to Radio Free Franken, or what.
