I have to share this phone call I just received.
"Hello, is <my husband's name> there?''

-- "No, I'm sorry, may I take a message?"

"No, no message."

-- "Hey wait a minute, if this is about the election I want you to know he's already voted today."

"That's exactly what this is about."

--"Well then I can assure you he's already been to the polls today."

"Great, I hope he supported the president."

-- "He did indeed. President John Kerry. Thank you for your call. <click>"

Damn that felt good!

She's my hero.
I'm going to throw this vent in here, because you can't stop me. Ha!

My relatives keep going on and on about how "UN-classy" THK is. Yet Lynne Cheney introduces some granddaughter or something or other as Kerry's health plan in Hawaii when she's dressed up as the grim reaper and I'm supposed to think that's classy and cute? Give me a break!

Oh wait....we aren't supposed to use relatives for political gain. I forgot.

Damn I can't wait for them to retire to Wyoming.

Thank you for indulging me.

19. No big surprise here...
We live in a heavily Republican area and my husband is registered Republican. We split our registration so we can affect both parties' primaries. My husband is as liberal as they come but he keeps the republicans on their toes. It's fun to screw with them.

You would have loved the canvassers who came to my house last night. A group of three Bush-ites. The following conversation is with my husband as the speaker for most of it.

"Hi! We're stopping by to make sure all registered Republicans get out to vote. Can we count on your support for the president?"

-- Not hardly.

"Oh, may we ask why?"

-- "Sure, he hasn't made a policy decision yet with which I agree. His administration is an unmitigated disaster for our country."

"oh"

<I walk up to the door wearing my Kerry for President t-shirt and say, "Um, nice to meet you but I'm working for the Kerry campaign.">

"Oh, okay. Have a nice evening."

They wander off.

Hello?!? We have a Kerry/Edwards sign in our yard as well as a sign for the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress. Does anyone need any more evidence that Republicans are lacking in a few brain cells. Sheesh!

5. NICE WORK
My friend's dad is a super freeper and he called her today just to be an asshole. Before he hung up he said "Don't vote for the traitor!"

I told her she should've said "I won't, I'm voting for Kerry."

Back to my mantra:

President Kerry... President Kerry... President Kerry...

25. My Dad used to taunt me constantly with right-wing e-mails.
Now I taunt him by constantly reminding him that he supports torturers.

My brother says he is "hurt".

Awwwwwwww. My poor right-wing, crackpot, Limbaugh-loving daddy had is itty bitty feelings hurt.

8. My husband just got a phone call too
From republicans, letting us know that the democrats are trying to force various locations in detroit to stay open late. The only way we can counter this is to make sure WE get to the polls and vote.

hahaha, my husband was the first person in line at our polling place today, casting his vote for President Kerry.

the house? I received several calls like that and just hung up on them. WTF!!

Do they know that most women think the weed is :puke:?

My husband is registered republican and I'm registered democrat. There is actually a legitimate reason for that. See my answer above where I say "no big surprise here."

24. In my state, we don't register by party. The callers have still
asked from the male, registered voter? It makes no sense in my state, but it definitely does in yours.
