Ok, let me ask a question...

why was it ok to predict a landslide when everything pointed to a very close race, and now that we have some solid evidence pointing to a Kerry victoty (not a landslide, but comfortable), it's forbidden to say so?

1. No but please hit the alert on people that attack you

and try not to start a whole new thread over it. There are assholes everywhere, even here. I agree you were treated unnecessarily rudely.

5. 90% of respondents attacked me, so I guess they have a point

I'm just trying to find out what is the point.

2. Cautious optimism
Where is the evidence of a comfortable win? It looks pretty murky at the moment..

7. I see good evidence

Exit polls: Kerry ahead by 4 in OH, by 1-2 in FL, by large margins in PA and NH.

Turnout: huge.

Republicans admitting off the record they have an uphill battle (reported at many places).

4. Saying we're going to win
is not the same as saying we've won.
Say anything you want, and others will respond
as they want, too. You weren't "forbidden" to say
what you said.

8. It was NEVER okay to predict a landslide, as the numerous posts
telling the "landslide" posters said. It was a cruel joke on other DUers who wouldn't maybe know that that was not possible, given that the country was split in two, each camp firmly planted, with only a small percentage at play.
