Ohio voters standing in line up to nine hours...

This was an attempt to steal the election.

I've heard more than once today that people don't stand in line that long for more of the same!

or were there problems at the polling place? Not enough machines?

Slows down the voting process, especially in heavily-populated Democratic counties.

But, what worries me is whether these are regular election ballots or provisional. I've got to give it to our friends in Ohio. They have stayed in line. They are determined to vote. Saw a clip of folks outside, some had been standing there for over 4 hours.

Let's make sure their votes are counted!

Bring food or chairs or something. Anything to keep the people in line. Maybe bring your favorite repuke bashing stick.

Imagine how many potential voters have left the line after all of these hours.

Psychologically speaking, having waited in line for hours like that represents a sunk cost. The longer you have to wait, the more you expect to get what you've waited for. Packing it in would be wasting a large investment of time, and would force the person to accept a psychological loss. The same phenomenon makes it hard for people to tear themselves away from a casino slot machine, or to call a retreat in a losing war. People can be enormously stubborn in such situations.

Also, don't overlook the comraderie that develops when a large number of people find themselves together in a novel situation.


Of course, it goes without saying that our elections DO need more polling places and better logistics.

We conceded too early in 2000 and that will not happen this time. Amen!

Who cares if we don't find out tonight or tonmorrow. I can wait until all the ballots are counted everywhere. Hrumph!

The polls "closed" in Columbus but HUNDREDS of people were still in line

and the line was maxed out the entire time. There is absolutely no way that all of the registered voters could have voted if they wanted to because there were only 3 machines for 1300 people!

Just what the fuck is the problem over there? This level of retarded incompetence is beyond mind boggling.

It was deliberate.

It was calculated.

Then why was it tolerated?

If everyone who wants to vote is allowed to vote we will win.

How are they being counted?

Nine hours in line waiting to vote!
