Lets say....
We lose Ohio and win all Gore states plus New Hampshire and Nevada. Doesn't that make it 269-269?

AND there was some story about a Republican electoral college elector from some state (can't remember which) who was NOT going to cast her vote for Bush even if he won the state (which was a Red State)

Wouldn't that make it, assuming she followed through with her plan, make it 269-268?

3. Still not good enough.
Kerry MUST nail 270, period. A 269-269 tie is the same as a 538-0 loss.

4. Which is why....
I brought up the one Bush elector who has threatened not to cast her ballot for him in protest.

That would make it 269-268.

5. So we're relying on bizarro scenarios for a win?
Thanks, but I think I'll pin my hopes on a turnaround in Ohio.

6. If nobody hits 270, the vote goes to Congress
It's not "most EV's win" necessarily. The candidate must have 50%+1 vote.

Senate votes for the VP, House for the Pres.

7. That elector
as in the past in such situations only would vote against Bush if it did NOT matter. On record and I don't know if they changed him or not.

A tie is again tilted against us and the PV has to be in Kerry's favor. The Senate is faring no better and certainly not the House.

The election is till Bush's to steal at this point, and I see nothing on the horizon to erase the red zone we have moved into in that regard. A close Ohio will be challenged.

Boycott the whole damned media.
