what do we do if bush wins?
I'm a bit confused.. I'm a young person, this is the first election that I've been through where I really cared who won. In 2000 I pulled/voted for Nader(yes in a Gore state), but I was only hoping he got the 5% to get federal funding. I can't see myself as having any faith in the American public to make the right decision after reelecting George W Bush. I'm starting to think a lot more like people like Rove. These people are stpid why should I care what happens to them. Maybe I should just do what is best for me, why bother thinking about whats best for the world when the world is so susseptable to manipulation. I don't see how someone can have faith in human beings common sense to do the right thing after a majority of a country, any country, votes to reelect this manipulative peice of shit. maybe its just because I had a bit to drink, but I dont think I can ever hope for the best in people again. This example of human idiocy is sickening. Even if Kerry pulls it out with the provisional ballots, Bush won the majority of votes... I hate people

9. Brainwashing by the corporate media...
They failed us! Not Kerry, not McAuliffe... the FUCKING FASCIST MEDIA! Also known as old white men too old to be drafted and too rich for their sons to be drafted.

Sadly, IF Bush wins (still an "if," my friends), the media problem will only grow...

12. bullshit
both candidates had every oppurtunity to present themselves.
Kerry chose the safe route of not ruffling any feathers, and it failed. He fucked up.. we fucked up.. humanity fucked up.

16. Nope. That's not correct. If a candidate presents him/herself but
the media doesn't cover it, or covers the other candidate a higher percentage of the time, or lets you hear one person speak but paraphrases what the other person says, or has *technical difficulties* that repeatedly cut off one person in the middle of a speech while playing his opponent in entirety, or repeatedly says that everyone likes one person but not the other, it is NOT a level playing field to present one's case.

Kerry may have played it more down the middle than some of us who are anti-war, for example, may have liked, but the media highly contributed to the lack of fair representation by their own actions, which included not correcting the bullshit.

5. I URGE everyone to call ALL Democratic Senators.
The Supreme Court should be our top priority.

We need to make it clear that while we'll tolerate a lot of disappointment, we won't tolerate another Scalia clone on the high court. We need to threaten them with us staying home on Election Day if they let this pass without an all-out filibuster. We should expect nothing less.

(I'll probably consider calling a few "moderate" Republicans as well..)

11. thats a great idea
but what evidence is there that its true... 0

If it was true people like Henry kissinger would be rotting in a jail not making billions of dollars. My philosophy has always been to push for a fair system, but use whatever system that is in place at the time. But I dunno why should I bother, let people suffer in their stupidity. Tonight I've lost a lot of my pity for the less fortunate. Sad statement yes, but they're gonna get what they asked for.

8. To be re-elected you have to be elected in the first place
Bush was not. And he won't be again. He may be selected, but not elected.

They're stealing it.

10. I hear ya.
I really don't know WTF is happening. Are so many Americans so rightwingnut stupid? It can't all be our US State Media; WE managed to find the facts despite them.

I think it really is 1/2 this nation are rightwingnut religious zealots; American Taleban. And that's why they voted for bush.

Reading some of the political boards around is sickening; posters talking about how it's good if we kill every Arab child in the world, so there will be no future "breeding". How Iraqis aren't really human, so their deaths are unimportant.

We have pundits on national TV saying liberals should be rounded up and put into extermination camps or that they should kill a few liberals to show us we "can be killed".

This on NATIONAL TV???

They call this being CONSERVATIVE???

Who would ever have believed 3 years ago that America would INVADE and OCCUPY a nation that hadn't done a damn thing to us???

But we did, and half this country thinks it's ok.

We were warned since the Founding Fathers...and now it IS happening here.

14. what about the rest of the world?
They did not get a chance to vote. If they had, they would kick * out in a 85-90% mandate. The middle eastern babies slaughtered by *'s genocide, landless farmers in India committing suicide because of IMF/GATT policies enforced by US military and promoted by US corporations - how do you hate them?

And even * voters in USA, how many of them really realize what they are doing? A large portion of them do not get decent education, they do not have DSL connection to internet. Their only sources of information are Rush's talk radio, church and Faux network. Have we really done everything we could to reach them? Have we really tried to convince all of them that they we believe in an alternate economic model which will make their and their children's lives significantly different?

15. the simple fact is
THEY LIKE WHAT BUSH HAD DONE. they reelected him.. there really is way to spin it.. peoeple are stupid, easilyt maniupulated, over the long and short run, and the only thing one can have faith in is their stupidity... I was naive enough to think people as a group wouldnt stand for this kind of manipulation and corruption, but I was wrong, we did stand for it...
