Win or Lose.

Frankly, if I were Kerry, I'd say I'd not threaten any lawsuits or recounts,
just wait for all the votes to be counted, and then come foreward
with a decision.

I think as long as Bush maintains > 50%, Kerry should tread lightly.
I am sorry the votes fell that way, but how can you argue w/
a majority of votes?

4. Gore didn't get better than 50% in 2000, but accd to NYT Bush is
getting 51% in the overall vote. I am not inviting
Kerry to concede, I am just saying he should tread lightly.
Breaking into the "majority" of votes has special status.

I'm sorry, I hate this prospect as much as the next, but winning
and losing takes grace.

7. Sorry, my mind wasn't in gear
I was reading "more than 50%" but my mind was interpretting just winning the popular vote! Somehow, all this talk of Bush has destroyed what mind I had left.

5. the large deviations from exit poll numbers in crucial states are suspect
so are the other irregularities in Ohio. In spite of repeated requests, extra machines were not provided to democratic precincts.People had to wait for 7/8 hours before they could vote just because they were going to vote for Kerry. How do you know how many voters were disenfranchised by that? If there are evidences of patterns of voting irregularities, we can definitely argue. I don't know much about election laws and what's needed for challenging elections/counting, but there is no reason to concede now. The final popular numbers look very fishy, given the combination of

turnout
*'s approval ratings
historical data on undecideds
historical data on new registration
the corelation between exit-poll mismatch and the lack of paper trail
general anti-incubment mood
diebold machines and the repug's enthusiasm for them
repugs talking down exit polls
repugs scaling down estimated turnouts

6. EASY!!!
The Presidential election is fought on a state-by-state basis and has NOTHING to do with the popular vote. If there is enough evidence to suggest Kerry can win a state that would put him over the top in the Electoral College, he has the moral obligation to his beliefs, his party, and all of his supporters to fight til the bitter end!!! If he doesn't, we'll never recover as a party I'm afraid!!!

8. Why don't you read the constitution?
Popular votes don't decide the elections.

Or did you think that Al Gore was the president?

We have not yet begun to fight.
