I'm wearing black today.
And I feel sick.

I checked the homepage. The admins there seem convinced that there was significant fraud going on in Ohio and perhaps in Florida also. I don't know. If it was the electronic voting machines, there's no way we'll ever find out one way or the other. No paper trail, as we know.

Either this election was lost or it was stolen. I truthfully could not tell you right now which would be worse. Either way I am a prisoner, of a corrupt regime or of the slightly more than half of my fellow-Americans who are lining up behind the emperor.

Maybe I'll have something encouraging to say later. Right now all I have is grief.

The Plaid Adder

1. I'm right there with you Adder...
I just wrote into C-span...waiting on the phone doesn't suit me. I'm absolutely flabbergasted!

I think something is wrong with the election...BUT more than that, obviously huge amounts of people did vote for bush! I find that extremely disturbing. What the HELL is wrong with our population?

My God, I feel like I'm standing on the deck of the Titanic!

I will NEVER accept this "defeat"...I will never ever forgive republicans or bush voters. I'm really pissed off.

2. Wearing black and
didn't even realize it. Guess it just suited my mood.

I have enjoyed reading your words, P Adder. And can certainly "feel your pain". Which is worse? I can't tell if it even matters. My country is not what I thought it was.

3. I'm wearing all black too
I had to come in to work today and congratulate my GOP co-workers. What a kick in the gut this has been.

Yeah, yeah, I know, it's not over til it's over. But I'm preparing for the inevitability of this winning death machine. They're very good at what they do...making people vote against their self-interests and stealing elections.

4. I cannot and will not ever believe
that huge amounts of people stood in line to re-elect this thief. 2002 senate races were very fishy to me, but people just wrote it off as a bad loss. They are getting very good at stealing these elections. If we don't get to the heart of the problem with how they are doing it exactly ( I know BBV) then they will keep doing it until the time comes when there will be no elections.

5. I agree, I, too, feel sick.
I just can't believe that America has so many stupid people. GWB has created the mess we have in our country, (OOPS, I mean his country). Do you think he will clean up this mess in the next four years? I don't. I think he and his henchmen will compound all the problems. Yep, America has a majority of stupid people and it looks like they elected a stupid leader. W is NOT my president!!!

6. Make that "slightly less than half"

of the people that voted.

All the Bushistas needed was to keep it close... which they did.
Then the BBV and other shit was used to tilt it their way.

But, like you, I'm sad today (even should Kerry somehow win)...
I'm sad that it was even close.

7. black arm bands for the duration?
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 08:41 AM by goddess40
with an upside down American flag possibly?

As far as the popular vote - I won't ever concede that one - in the states that we all knew were going to be red and the vote would never be challenged, the voter fraud never uncovered, they could have jacked up the * vote to eliminate the possibility that Kerry would win the popular vote the way Gore did.

10. I'm in black too.
It doesn't even matter anymore if Bush won or stole the election. with Republicans in control, they'll do whatever it takes to stay in power, even if it means destroying everything this country was founded upon.

I have on my uncle's WWII swastika armband. When people point it out, I just tell them I want to be sure I have a place in the new order. (Fortunately, most people around here know me and that I'm kidding...sorta...)
