Thank you all from me (and my friends) in the UK

Thank you all. I know that you worked your hardest, and Kerry ran a great campaign. I stayed up until 2am here and everything looked so good. When I woke up and turned on the radio, I felt sick. I'm suspicious about the exit poll results/projected results.

What I fear though, is that the average voting american has moved to the right.

I hope for the best, but I fear the problem isn't with the Democratic Party, but with the average voter, who is likely to be ill-informed, and liberalism needs a big, slow, unstoppable revolution, perhaps led by John Edwards and Barak Obama. The issues that democrats push are the right ones. They don't need to try and be Republicans-lite.

I'm speechless and in shock. The only hope that I have is that we took back Minnesota from the rabid right wing radicals.
