Why did the media hold back calling PA and other Blue States?
The media did everything they could to give George Bush the election.

All through the campaign they have thrown everything they could at Kerry, while they turned their blind eyes and gave Bush a free pass on every issue.

Last night they were in overdrive.

Just look at how they manipulated the map. Very early they put up a handful of Red States and one tiny Blue State.

In every state that they could call for Bush, they called it early.

In every state that they could call for Kerry, they held back for as long as they could.

PA is the prime example. PA was clearly going to Kerry from the start. Even with 50% of the vote in the media still hadn't called the state. In other places even with zero votes counted, they were calling those states for Bush.

The map turned red and stayed red and only at the end did they start to call blue states.

Nice trick to get everyone to go to bed thinking Kerry was the loser.

1. I noticed this too...

Perhaps we just need to turn them off and see if the drastic lack of ratings has an effect?

3. I noticed it too.
They'd call a state for the Boy King even if only 1% of the vote was in and it was AGAINST him, but Kerry could have 99% of the vote in, and 60% of it for him and they still wouldn't call it. WHY???????

11. I ground judgments on evidence, not faith.
If the evidence indicates Bush has won, I may not like it, but I will remain rational.

Conspiracies about the media are baseless, and electronic voting conspiracies, if not false, are impossible to prove.

14. Bull
We the people demand answers.

If you want to roll over and give the country to the fascists, than why don't you move to FR or some other place where you might feel more comfortable.

Otherwise, please get off my thread. I'm not in the mood for anyones crap today.

17. Again, no evidence.
Solely believing an idea does not provide warrant, nor is belief in itself a guarantor of its own truth.

Bush and Alan Keyes were crushed in my state, as Republicans repeatedly are. And we don't do it by complaining about the media and corruption. Whatever your "mood," this crap is simply not a recipe for victory.

18. It is not an idea

I monitored the map all night.

I had 10 other people in my house. I was ranting and raving all night about the map and how it was being manipulated.

I'm sure there are screen captures and internet logs that will prove my assertions.

Plus a fair number of people who have posted to this thread, observed the same thing.

I know what I saw with my own eyese, and other people saw it too.

27. I am talking about when they called states
Not how they came out in the final count.

I am talking about the map from the 7:00 PM on.

The original map showed W with 3 states and Kerry with 1.

They kept this map up for almost an hour before they called any other state.

Then for the next 2-3 hours they only called red states, even when no votes had been counted yet.

My point is that they manipulated the map to make it look like W was winnng all night. Even when it was really neck and neck if they had called places like PA that was in Kerry's court all night long.

I am not talking about final outcomes.

28. I remember...Kerry was at 112 or so FOREVER.
Bush's numbers kept tallying up, but Kerry wouldn't budge (this was at about 9:00 central).

29. Totally agree
I was yelling at the TV because they did just as you said. I heard rove was on the phone all night and i think he was behind that. Give the illusion you are winning. They planned on declaring victory at 5am et. It was psych ops and you won't convince me otherwise.

9. I watched the map last night on line
this is what happened.

If you know so much, you tell me what happened or go shove your tinfoil where the sun don't shine.

I am sick and tired of being hit with this shit whenever anyone produces evidence that makes the Boy King and his minions look bad.

6. another thing is when they did call a state for Kerry
they would act like it was no big deal. that it was something he was going to get anyways.

but when bush won places like alabama they would announce as if it was some unexpected breaking news and he had just won something special.

15. Don't say that.
They have ways of making you like the taste...

I agree with you. I remember seeing PA white on the map, while half the western states were red. Now I know PA has more people, less rural, etc. But PA's polls closed hours before Arizona or Montana. I don't wear tinfoil, but I think visuals, just like words have a huge impact on how people perceive things.

There are those who still think StupidAss won the 2000 popular vote because of all that red real estate. Not kidding.

20. The reports we got during the day as DFL volunteers had Kerry ahead
in exit polling in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Of these, exit polling was "accurate" only in Pennsylvania. :wtf:

BTW, it was also accurate in Minnesota.

30. Kerry was clearly going to win Pa. I took them 3+ hours to call it.
Yet, the moment Spector went 50-49 with Hoffelthey called Spector the winner. And that was with more than half the state to count. at that time Kerry was 60-40 over Bush and they still wouldn't call it in his favor.
