6. Sure, but the math just doesn't add up in Ohio
God, I wish it did and I am very upset about it, but we must deal with facts:

According to the Kerry campaign and various news sources like CNN, there are about 250,000 provisional and absentee ballots left to count in Ohio, although the Sec State says he's not sure and at one point said it might be about 175,000. I don't know if he has revised that since, but let's use the 250,000 for the purposes of discussion.
For Kerry to make up the current deficit reported of 113,449 he would have to win 73% of the 250,000 votes, 182,500 for Kerry and 67,500 for Bush, resulting in a Kerry win of about 1,500 votes in Ohio.

Can he do that? I don't think so, unless virtually all of these uncounted votes come from Cleveland and I would wager that at least some substantial portion of them come from other parts of the state that are less Democratic. I think that would be even less likely since absentees probably include a lot of military votes.

But, again, for the purpose of discussion, let's say they all came from Cleveland and Cuyahoga County.

Kerry won in Cuyahoga County with 67% of the vote (probably a higher percentage in Cleveland itself), but not the 73% that would be needed to win the yet uncounted votes.

For Kerry to do it practically all the votes would have to be in the heart of cities like Cleveland. Additionally, since many of these votes are "provisional" it may mean that some of these voters were really not registered and their votes will be disallowed, so I would guess that the total will be much less than the 250,000 claimed at this point.

These numbers don't look at all good for Kerry, but I think we really should wait for them all to be counted in Ohio as well as Iowa and New Mexico. If the gaps are closed then recounts might also be necessary to make sure machine counts were accurate (chads anyone?).

I will save my opinions about what happened for another time but basically just wanted to give my assessment of the current situation.

16. A sane logical analysis, for sure ....
... but what does sanity and logic have to do with anything considering our foe ?

We've heard "numbers" thrown at us for the past year and a half that were TOTAL BS ...

I'm with John Kerry and John Edwards ... count EVERY DAMN VOTE .. investigate and prosecute every instance of vote fraud ...

Now is NOTE the time to stop fighting.

11. We need to determine TODAY why 50k absentee ballots were missing
in Florida, we need to make sure all the votes were counted, and YES, count all in Ohio. At least, if Bush is confident he won, then he will have NO ISSUES with making sure this presidency is legit.
