1. It shouldn't have been close if people really cared about the issues
But when at a time of "war" 20% of those polled said they voted for "moral values" it says something! I have said earlier, we could have invaded canada and these people would still have voted for *!

2. I beg to differ.....F9/11 inspired me to become active
again in politics. It spurred the Progressive Movement and gave us a rallying point. The Progressive Movement is not dead, it is regrouping and continuing to fight.

That is like saying MLK and his speeches, Gloria Steinham, Christopher Reeve, the different fights against AIDS, did no good.

3. then why was it??? Don't drink the kool-aid.
this is a man who:

showed iraq war plans to a Saudi prince (treason)
lied to U.S. about Niger yellowcake (impeachable)
authorized the revealing of NOC CIA agent (major treason)

like his party would steal this election? yeah, right...

they made sure this time that the popular vote was large enough to convince people the vote was legitimate. Didn't work on me.

4. I made a difference.
Dems swept my County Commissioners. Small consolation, I know. But it is not nothing, either.

And it made a difference in my heart. I will go forth knowing that I did all in my power to prevent the tragedies that will occur as a result of a second Bush admin.

AND, its not over yet. Let's wait for all the votes to be counted, please.
