in the results, but that thread is now in the archives (I just checked all 20 pages of current threads twice). As I recall, messages in that thread included screen saves of some very suspicious Ohio results from the state's own website.
Lucas County was showing several thousand votes for the Green Party candidate, Cobb, but 0 for Kerry. Hamilton County was showing exactly equal numbers of votes for Cobb and Kerry. But Cobb was getting 0 votes in the other counties.
Some time after that thread started, after people had posted messages about contacting the media and various watchdog groups, those results were suddenly changed, with the Cobb votes in Lucas County all given to Kerry, and the Cobb votes in Hamilton County disappearing completely, not reassigned to Kerry.
Despite that correction, I don't think this was just some clerical/transcription error. There were no similar mistakes giving Bush either 0 votes or the same number of votes as a Green Party candidate who had no chance of winning.
I read somewhere that when Schwarzenegger was elected governor of California, obscure candidates with no chance of winning got surprisingly large vote totals, suggesting the machines were throwing some of his opponent's votes to those candidates.
Is there any way to retrieve that thread from the archives so it can be sent to the DNC and watchdog groups? I don't remember who started the thread, but the name of the county, Lucas County, is in the subject line.
