I gather there's very little evidence of fraud in Ohio?
Except for claim about CNN's exit poll numbers and a blog claim about a mysterious truck driving away with some ballots, we have no evidence of fraud in Ohio. Is that right?

1. How would we know?
Electronic voting machines with no paper trail and no auditing features.

You may have marked down Kerry, but was it counted for Bush?

The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

The Aug. 14 letter from Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc. - who has become active in the re-election effort of President Bush - prompted Democrats this week to question the propriety of allowing O'Dell's company to calculate votes in the 2004 presidential election.

O'Dell attended a strategy pow-wow with wealthy Bush benefactors – known as Rangers and Pioneers - at the president's Crawford, Texas, ranch earlier this month. The next week, he penned invitations to a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser to benefit the Ohio Republican Party's federal campaign fund - partially benefiting Bush - at his mansion in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington.

The letter went out the day before Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, also a Republican, was set to qualify Diebold as one of three firms eligible to sell upgraded electronic voting machines to Ohio counties in time for the 2004 election.

2. we need a hand recount in Ohio
We have paper ballots here.. but they can still fix the tabulators, and that's exactly what happened.

3. All we have is some dirty tricks...
It's insane that people had to wait for 10 hours to vote. How many people didn't bother because they couldn't wait that long? Either it was a case of serious understaffing or a case of large numbers of ballots being questioned just to slow down the process. Or both. Either way, it stinks.

That's not anything to contest the election on, though.

I think Ohio might have swung on the homophobe vote. They had the provision on the ballot to define marriage, and that passed by a large margin. It looks like lots of "moral issues" people showed up just to vote against gay marriage.

5. CNN's exit poll numbers are not a "claim".
It's an undeniable fact that they were changed. If you know how to take a simple percentage of a whole number, you can verify it for yourself.
