We are an army of angry Democratic activists.

We are an army of angry Democratic activists.

We know that the Bushites have committed massive vote fraud.

We know that the Bushites are trying to steal Florida and Ohio.

We are passionate, dedicated and willing to take all ethical actions to reverse the fraud and save our nation.

Where do we go from here?

2. Mobilize. OH, FL, DC. Massive civil disobedience. Total economic boycot
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 10:01 AM by kayell
Call, write, fax, hound all the media re: missing voters from massive turnout, exit poll variance in FL and OH.

Keep it up. Our very lives depend on it.

11. Indeed. The ground swell needs to start threre.
In 2000 the rupublicans bused people to scare recounters out of doing their job. We need to get _very_ organized and KEEP people on the ground, maintain a lot of media visibility and defend against republican terrorists.

23. black hoodies
Time for all of us to wear black hoodies (a la Eminem) as a silent protest. IF Bushit is inaugerated, we all crowd into DC for the phony parade, and whip out our black hoodies. Those 1000 flag draped coffins that were at the Lincoln Memorial should be there too.
And time to hit the streets. Tired of this crap.
Get angry! They've done it to us again!
There goes the Bill of Rights!

5. Because we're supposed to be better than they are
The moment we cross the line into unethical behavior of any kind we lose any claim to moral high ground.

6. What's so great about the moral high ground?
I'll happily be immoral if that's what it takes to save this country.

8. It's up to you to define "ethical."

It's up to you to define "ethical." That could be whatever you think is right.
It may not be what others would call "the moral high ground."

10. The Church of the SubGenius has a maxim that seem appropriate
"You must be saved, EVEN IF IT KILLS YOU!"

Otherwise known in a traditional American colloquialism as "throwing the baby out with the bathwater".

It's like giving up our liberty in the name of fighting a faceless "terrorist" enemy - By doing so you give them a victory by proxy.

I'll have nothing to do with any political party that enshrines dirty tricks or skulduggery in a Machiavellian quest to save people from themselves. If that's what you want then suit yourself, but I'll be among the first to hit the silk if that's where we end up going.

12. I'm sorry, but I think that's a naive attitude.
Look where it's gotten us so far. I'm already going to spend most of my life trying to undo the damage of this decade; I don't want to have to wait for playing nice to overcome dirty tricks, because it never does. Not outside of the stories we tell our children.

14. By way of analogy...
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 10:39 AM by Ewan I Bushwackers
Imagine 2 people, a Dem and a Repub, playing a game of Monopoly. The rules are clearly spelled out on the underside of the gamebox lid.

The Repub cheats.

Is the Dem bound to continue to follow the rules?

Dem: "You're cheating!"
Repub: "It doesn't matter because you cannot stop me from cheating. You, however, must continue to follow the rules."
Dem: "Oh, O.K. I wouldn't want to be a cheater like you."

Wake up and smell the coffee. The Monopoly game rules are, in effect, a CONTRACT between the two players. Once one party breaches that contract, the other party is released from any obligation to perform under the terms of the contract.

That is the law of contracts in a nutshell, folks. Only an idiot would continue to play by the old contractual rules, when the other party has clearly rejected them.

The social contract (which includes commonly understood ethical rules/guidelines) has been broken by the ReThugs.

I am not enouraging anyone to break the law. I AM encouraging you all to reassess those unwritten rules that once governed our behavior. The ReThugs have abandoned them. If you continue to follow those rules unilaterally, YOU WILL LOSE. Every time.

17. Cheating leads to consequences
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 10:45 AM by slackmaster
In your game of Monopoly, the cheater will lose the respect of all the other players involved. The cheater will pay a social price because everyone knows he or she cheated.

Sooner or later the cheater will become an outcast, distrusted.

Once one party breaches that contract, the other party is released from any obligation to perform under the terms of the contract as written.

I'm one of the rare people who have actually read all of the fine print in my home loan documents. Every one I've seen has a little clause that reads something like this: "Forebearance not a waiver...: If the borrower fails to make a timely payment (thus breaking the contract) and the lender does the gracious thing by not enforcing the available remedies to the letter, the borrower is still obligated to continue making payments.

Sometimes it makes sense for a lender to cut a little slack for a borrower who is having cash flow problems. If you force the person into bankruptcy you will wind up with nothing. Do you believe we'd be better off with a single-party system in this country? I don't; even if the ruling party generally agrees with me.

Sometimes you get more mileage in the long run by taking the high ground.

and me and a lot of other people will do the dirty work.

Politics is a zero sum game in America. We have to do something to take our country back from America's version of the taliban.

Whether it will be the deciding factor or not, there appears to be a high level of fraudulent votes for Bush.
