6. Not A Chance...
It'll be Harry Reid from Nevada---boring, uninspiring, won't draw voters to the party, Harry Reid.

8. I think this is a very good idea.
Whoever the democratic Senate leader is will be demonized by the GOP since the republican base can not function without someone to hate. Consequently, the republican base definitely will be ordered to hate the next democratic Senate leader.

But Kerry already has been demonized by the GOP and already is hated by the republican base. He also comes from a safe democratic seat so it is unlikely the GOP could target him for defeat and create problems like were created for Daschle.

Kerry also already has a lot of credibility with millions of voters across the country. As Bush and the GOP continue to screw up the country and the world, Kerry is the ideal spokesman to criticize them because many people will realize that Kerry was right during the campaign and they should have voted for him and against Bush.

I think he would make ten million people regret their vote for Bush. Maybe more.

11. Gets my vote
This isn't the time to shake up the Democratic Party, this is the time to declare war on the Republicans. We don't need another leader who plays nice with Bush, we need a leader who walks out on stage and follows protocol by saying "Nice to see you again, Mr. President" while turning his back on the bastard!!

Kerry knows Bush now. He knows the lies. People who have never faced Bush don't get it. Kerry for minority leader. Kerry to lead the filibusters. Kerry to allot Senate floor time to those with the most fiery message against Bush's next bloody invasion.

Kerry can lead this war. If he won't we'll find someone who will, but he deserves first crack at it.

14. US expats, French protestors hold election night vigil in Paris
PARIS (AFP) - The United States flag was flapping over Paris streets late Tuesday as US expats and French protestors gathered to watch the results of the presidential election beamed into the capital of Washington's most troublesome ally.

Outside Harry's Bar, the favoured watering hole of Americans in Paris since 1911, some 300 people keen to mix politics with a party atmosphere watched as 30 French anti-war protestors demonstrated in the street demanding a US withdrawal from Iraq

20. No on Kerry
Chris Dodd lost narrowly to Daschle in his race for minority leader. I think he is still a good choice.

22. WAIT, I don't get it... Kerry remains in the Senate??
If that's the case, why doesn't Edwards remain in the Senate? Was Edwards up for re-election this cycle and not Kerry? Sorry... I'm a political newbie this year, and I'm fucking PISSED today, but I wasn't aware Kerry gets to remain in the Senate...
