Al Gore....in hindsight, with the real surprise of the mass voter fraud
and suppression, the hastily pulled together legal team, the uncharted waters, ...with all that, Al Gore at least stood his ground and fought. He made a wrong decision, but he had no foreknowledge of how the Supreme Court would intervene.

With all that, Al Gore fought for 36 days. Hats off, once again, to Al Gore.

This time, with all that behind us, we still have three states not certfied and Kerry is conceding. What was John Edwards saying last night?

1. true...
But I think Gore had a stronger case - the popular vote, plus a very slim margin in Florida. But yeah, I give him kudos for resisting the demands of the media and the Repigs to concede immediately.

2. All this time I've been mad at Gore for not fighting still harder.
My apologies, Al.

5. Yes, and Al Gore had essentially been abandoned by establishment Dems.
Kerry has unprecedented backing.

Im still uncertain as to why he made this choice today, and one thing I do know is that we have built a movement, and we will continue to build this movement.

4. Esp. with hindsight
and knowing all we do about what Florida has been up to and so many votes still out - I agree - it makes Al Gore look a lot more respectable for making the effort that he did make.
