All I can say is- Half of America is pissed.
That may not be much consolation. But just remember we're not alone. In fact, most of the people on this planet are with us who call ourselves Democrats. We are far from alone.

This election is the result of nearly half of Americans who can't think for themselves. Who are just stupid. They bought the 'stem cell research is baby mass murder' argument. They believed we were in danger. Hell, even if Saddam had nuclear weapons, his longest range missiles were only capable of 400 miles. Duped, duped, duped. And democracy is paying the price.

COPS, Bay Watch. Need I say more? How can we make any impact on this insidious act of duping and dumbing down? It's a corporate country, and they have been given the power. The power to make half of America believe that they know best.

It's about comfort. It's about safety. But the rest of the world doesn't live that way, and they know better. There should also be consolation in that. We are in the majority, in a global perspective.

Well, in the meantime, we may want to drop out for a while. And we may. After all, having Bush in office, is like living in a bad neighborhood- you don't leave the house without locking all of the doors. And that takes more effort. And if you don't lock the doors, you may find yourself in poverty. But I predict that America is part of a bigger scheme of things. And that as dark as this shoddy election was, and as crooked as the Bush family is, there will be changes that are unforseen. Remember, Bush doesn't run the world. Money does. Bush is only as strong as the dollar.

Let us hope that we can reverse what has been done. I am not optimistic.

1. Half are pissed; may have LOTS of time on their hands due to economy
That is a helpful thing to think about. We need to put those idle hands to work at changing the conditions of their unemployment

8. You are correct.
I believe what you're saying is, to lock our doors we must get ourselves out of debt as quick as we can because the dollar is going to go down eventually. We must prepare and those that voted for Bush don't know about the dollar situation. They've voted for a false sense of security and a hypocritical sense of values.

9. I'm not pissed
I'm just plain dejected. I live in WV which has been a traditionally blue state. We elected a Dem governor (although he is a DINO) last night 60-40. Two out of our three congressmen are democratic, and we are the state of Senators Rockefeller and Byrd. My state is dead in the water. I was planning on running for congress in 2006 because I believe there will be an open seat in the 1st district, but it's obvious that he only won last night because he's been in power almost as long as I've been alive. I'm really lost now, I don't see clear leadership in the party. I like Dean, but most of America doesn't. Bright side is that Clinton came out of nowhere in 1992. Downside, our governorships are few and far between, and even bastions of blue-ness (NY and Mass.) have red governors. I'm not giving up, I just don't know what to do.
