51 percent is a ************* MANDATE now?????
Even if that is *'s real number, it is not impressive. But Schneider was going on about how * has a mandate. OMG, I'm getting scared. Chimp with a lapdog media screaming that he has a mandate? What kind of hell are we in? Sorry, to be so down, but I am friggin scared right now. Most of you know I'm not one for alarmist posts.

16. Are you asking what mandate is?
It's a margin of victory that is decisive enough to allow the victor to push through his programs, etc. That's my definition. I'm too lazy and upset to look it up.

Re-elected Incumbants Usually Win By LANDSLIDE numbers. This is tiny
margin of victory. one of smallest of re-elected incumbants.

10. Is this the smallest
Margin of reelection in the past 100 years? Are there any history buffs out there?

The reason I ask, is that it seems to me that when Presidents run for reelection, and win, they are typically blow-outs. What does that tell us about this election?

13. It is when you think of what he did after 2000.
Losing the popular vote and running the country like he had won it by over 10 million.

14. Is it possible for us to get someone
from our side out there to refute this? Is our side capable of standing up at all? Or are they just going to fold and say, "yes, * has a mandate."

18. The difference between Clinton's vote and
Dole's vote was a lot more than 3%. The majority of the country didn't think Clinton's presidency was on the wrong track.
