Ladies and gentleman, for how long have we rolled over in the name of bi-partisanship? How many times have we decided the fight is not worth fighting? Why do we constantly have the issues but fail to win elections? The answer, quite simply, is because we have no balls.
We all wanted John Kerry to fight on. Would it have been the most prudent decision? I don't know, but it would have showed us something. It would have showed us that WE, the American people, are worth fighting for. Instead, Sen. Kerry decides to concede. He says that there was no chance of him coming up with the necessary votes to win. He could be right. However, simply fighting would do much for this half of the population.
I for one, have balls. I have never backed down from a fight. If someone wants to question me, than come and try. I will not back down. Neither should any of you. I know there is a lot of empty rhetoric regarding this issue (much of it spewing forth from Boston), but, there are those of us that still have balls, and the brains to back them up.
It is time. It is time to forget that often repeated word, bi-partisan. There is a reason the higher you go in your education, the more likely you are to be a progressive. Simply, we are right, and they are wrong. If fighting for the rights of minorities, the homeless, a woman's right to choose, the environment, REAL national security, and everything else we believe in are not worth fighting for, what is?
I for one will not stand down. The fight goes on, with or without you. I hope, with all of my soul, that you are with me. WE, the American people, MUST take back our government. I have, in the past considered running for Congress myself. That question has now been answered. I must, at, potentially, great risk to my own financial well-being. I am wiling to make the sacrifice to move this country back in the direction it should be going. All those with me, stand and fight. If not, you will be left behind. The bandwagon has officially stopped, and it is now time to walk.
