The good news.
Bush is sitting in a pile of his own shit.

He has no hope of getting out of Iraq.
The forthcoming assault on Fallujah will have high casualties.
Mounting deficits will stifle growth and the market.
Home heating costs will be out of control.
The next al Qaeda attack is all his.
They will privatize social security and it will crash.

Let him wallow in his filth for a few years. He could be setting us up for a great victory.

4. Not a victory, but
a situation where he will finally have to be the one accountable for everything. Democrats attacking him hasn't succeded in destroying, he has to do it to himself.

14. Sure it is!
Every bad thing that happens in this country HE OWNS.

They're saying he has a great MANDATE? Alright then. You can't blame us anymore. Proceed with the destruction of the nation.

The more he wallows and America struggles, the more he'll screw up everything he touches. It will stain the Republican party for a generation with the stink of failure.

Focusing people's attention on fetuses, gays and guns can only work while there remains a semblance of order. When the chaos hits people hard enough, the people won't be distracted by secondary issues.

7. Little comfort to the families of the dead and the poverty-stricken
It won't make me happy when I'm still working at 75 years old and thinking, "Well, at least we proved that bush is an idiot."

I see your point. But the price is too effin' high.

8. I don't think so.
They're just going to invade even more countries and create an even bigger mess. There's no time for them to wallow in anything when they have an even bigger ditch to dig.

9. I guarantee, after four more years the plebes are going to be ...
...begging for mercy. Now the shit hits the fan. Now more than ever, we need to hold this administration's feet to the fire. They won on fear and intimidation. OK, I'll play. I am one nasty son-of-a-bitch. It needs to be in this country's face: you elected this asshole. Deal with it.

10. There is no good news.
WE are the ones who get to wallow in the filth. WE are the ones who will be jobless, and homeless, marginalized, and be in slavery to the "christian" values that will be imposed. It is OUR air, water, and EARTH that will be polluted and OUR science that will be ignored in favor of quasi-religious bunk.

And they STILL won't get it.

13. Agree
If Bush screws it up much worse than he already has, which is a good bet, I think the Dems will have an excellent chance to win in 2008 providing they nominate a good candidate.

15. The propaganda machine will tell the people who don't care all that much
that the shit tastes wonderful and they joyfully swallow it down. Don't depend on them to implode. Get out and start working at the local level to build coalitions, infrastructure and relationshipd to take it all back from the ground up.
