Looking at all this hate being levelled at Kerry
I think that those concerned are not so far removed from the fundies . Their first response to anything , is to spew poison , and you are doing the same .

I too am devastated that Kerry has conceded and firmly believe that there has been massive voter fraud , resulting in another stolen election . However I don't believe we achieve anything by turning on each other , though I admit that this may look like I am turning on those hurling all the abuse about .

I am so greatly saddened by what is going on now . Instead of enlightening the far right , and teaching them to be care about everyone , we are stooping to the level of the worst of them with all the bile flowing on here today .

I am losing all hope .

1. I hated seeing all the hatred levelled toward Nader too. It's the junta
we should focus on, not the guys on our side, even if we didn't agree with their tactics or ideology 100%.

2. We're hurt.
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 03:32 PM by Borgnine
Kerry was our leader. He left us to die. We're going to be pissed at him for awhile. I'm sure time will heal how we're feeling, like with Gore, but right now, I say fuck him.

I think we're all so devestated right now that we're going to be saying lots of hurtful things. It's human nature. We're going to get heal and get stronger, but right now, it feels like we've all bit hit by a large bus.

Edit: God, I have so many typos in this post. I sound like a freeper. That's what being drunk will do to you.

9. You're exactly right. I think many of us don't really mean what
we say against Kerry right now, but for now we are lashing out at the disappointment and betrayal we feel toward him and the Democratic Party.

I am digusted at the way he rolled over, but sooner or later, my focus will return to the REAL enemy - Bush and his Administration, Republicans and the Right-wing Christian Fascists of this country.

4. Can't we be pissed off and angry for at least a day?
Come on! We just had our asses handed to us in an election against the worst president ever.

11. You are right be angry today.
I am furious and my blood pressure is popping. That part of the anatomy was cut off.

I have read and contributed in lot of posts recently.

Something was just pointed out to me (by a lawyer type) that maybe our Democratic ticket is playing real legal hardball. It's not over yet. Concessions may look good. Bush was going to declare himself anyway.

John Edwards did not become a millionaire by accident. Those nasty lawyers just like the law too much.

venom, posion anger...whatever.

Let it flow. Expunge it and then get busy.

I think we are all in shock, we are all grieving and we are all reacting.

Everyone will settle down and then , hopefully, we will start kicking ass and taking names.

12. Take heart.
It's mostly a response to the stunning defeat.

I don't think they really hate Kerry. They're just taking out their anger on him. It's bad, but it will pass.

14. Anger, not hate
And we have a right to express our anger. If you have a problem with that, may I suggest you're in the wrong place for today?

15. I'm in the right place for today

Am I disappointed , yes!

Do I think that Kerry lost the election, NO!

Do I think the election was STOLEN - yes!

If he was winning on Sunday, October 31, how could he have LOST on Nov. 2nd.

There was no good news at all for Bush from Sunday to Monday. Not one bit of good news!

So Kerry is not the problem here, those damn machines and Karl Rove should be receiving our anger and we need to get even with them!

17. Why did he concede BEFORE the counting was done? What's the hurry?
That's the reason for anger buddy, not the results.

16. Well said! I am angry at Kerry for giving up, angry at BFEE for stealing
it again and I make no apologies for it. Feel superior to me if that's what you need, but I have nothing to prove to you/the fundies/anyone.
I did my best for my country's future, I found out that it was all an illusion to begin with and the so called "leader" of this thing tyreated this like some sports competition rather than the life and death struggle that this is.
Common ground with killers - I have none.

19. John Kerry is a hero
That many here don't see this, is just another example - along with this election - of how little many understand. I know, it sounds conceited, but it's a damned fact.

20. He left us on the field and headed back to safety in his coach.
Reeling from defeat, he didn't choose to stay and fight with us and I was totally ignorant about the math because I can't bear to watch RCM TV (Republican-Corporate-Military TV) any longer and I wouldn't have believed them anyway, had I watched them. I wanted to wait until the legal reports came in on FL and OH and any other state.

Gore fought for five weeks and then only gave in because of the not-so-supreme court.

Yes, I feel very let down and iggnorant because I haven't had all night and day to read DU.
