I've determined I have to let people blame whoever they want...
If they want to focus their anger on the voter fraud and intimidation then I have no right to call it tinfoil or conspiracy theories. But I have the obligation to help in their fight and give them if nothing else my emotional support.

If they want to blame Kerry I'm not going to say they can't or try to claim that many didn't warn us of this outcome or try to convince anyone that the campaign was perfect. Even if I won't join in that chorus of blame I can only nod my head in understanding if someone who was my brother or sister just 24 hours ago chooses to approach things in that way.

If you want to blame ignorant americans, or the young or the old or the south or the religious, go right ahead. Get it out and I'm going to hold myself towards not telling anyone how to mourn. I'm going to ignore my instincts to try and find the exact particular problem and solution because at this point I realize there is none and nobody on our side who fought for a different outcome is right or wrong.

I just hope that when it's all done and we're all ready that there will continue to be a Democratic Underground and it will continue to be a place that I can come to converse, argue, lament, rage, and just hang out with like minded people.

Someone on here said something today that I'm clinging to and it was more or less about focusing on what we can do for the 1 Obama in the Senate, rather than what the many Daschles and Leiberman's can do for us. I just read Obama's speech on Kos, and I read Dean's e-mail on these here pages. Whatever may have happened I'm going to spend the next years as an american citizen doing whatever I can to let people like Dean and Obama help us.

Thanks for the ups and downs over the past 2 years (for me). I hope there's many more ups than downs but I plan on being here for all of them.
