1. You're not alone...
I've been at work all day literally fighting back the tears. Yes, I'm an emotional female - but I don't understand how everyone around me is just moving on!! I'm heartbroken .. not so much pissed like many, although I completely understand that emotion as well. As for me, I'm just plain sad :(

4. my wife woke me up in tears this morning
and I totally get it.

Not to diss your husband. I'm sure he's just trying to give you a lot of rational reasons not to cry. Probably doing his best. Probably breaks his heart to see you cry.

5. Tell him to wake the hell up
and start to think critically.

I have a neighbor like that and I about took his head off this morning.

They will begin to understand in a very short time.

11.  Wow I just said the same words to my husband
He walked in the door and said "gee I'm sorry but it's not the end of the world" I said you just don't get it , it could very well be the end of the world at least as we know it. The only good thing is you quys and Air America.

9. a word to the women from a married man
men have trouble handling emotions from the people they love.

When they see you cry, it makes them feel really terrible, because men just want to MAKE YOU HAPPY.

And if there's something that's making you unhappy they WANT TO FIX IT.

They can't.

They try.

Be nice to them even if it seems they don't understand.

:)

10. honestly...
my husband didn't want to discuss politics with me..but he knew this meant the world to me and knew I would be devastated so he called a few times to see how I was doing and once Kerry conceded..he called..and I lost it...he kinda was thrown by what I was spewing but listened to me for the first time...in a while...

12. It hasnt even started yet
Wait till the tidal wave of legislation begins that will undo everything
thats been built over the last 100 years.

The people that shrug their shoulders have no idea whats ahead.

13. (((hugs)))
my husband knows better after 2000. But I was surprised by a fellow dem friedn that popped by my house today to console me. Her response was," oh well the youth vote didn't turn out and the american people had their say..we just lost. There's always 2008."

My response...if there is anything left. She just doesn't get it.
