LIMBOsevic Did His Bile Gloating Today
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 04:47 PM by UTUSN
First, as a supposed thanks to Ohio, he played the whole of his opening theme song. He's mentioned the lead singer before, saying she is a Leftie rocker who doesn't listen to him but who gave permission for her song to be used, saying that her parents listen to him. Today he said that she is from Ohio, had departed to do her career thing years ago, but when she came back on a visit years ago she found it totally developed and polluted and whatever, hence the lyrics of the song, which he said are "anti-development". So he played the lyrics version, rubbing salt in our wounds.

Then, when JK's speech was being aired, he talked over it in parts, mocking him (and us). As for the parts calling upon Shrub to "bring us together" or "heal" us--------hah.

Is the new Supreme Court going to let him off the hook on his drug charges? How much is Marta going to get? Will KAGAN leave CNN upon marrying him? Will she wait while he does time?

1. I heard some of that today.
Only because I wanted to hear Kerry's speech. If I wasn't worries about a wreck I would've buried my fist into the radio...

2. I don't mean to offend
but one can only "rub salt in our wounds" if you listen to him. Why do that to yourself?

3. The Rocker Is Chrissie HYNDE & The Pretenders

.... The punch line is that the very next song on the band's recent album, "The Brooklyn Side," contains a direct attack on Limbaugh. "Welfare Music" includes the lines "Angry fat man on the radio / Wants to keep his taxes way down low / Says there ought to be a law / Angriest man we ever saw."

Limbaugh's producer, Kit Carson, says his boss hasn't heard "Welfare Music" and, in fact, was unaware of whose music was being used until Pop Eye called to ask about it.

Limbaugh, of course, has been using the opening riff from the PRETENDERS' "My City Was Gone" as his main radio theme for years--with no complaints from CHRISSIE HYNDE, Carson says. But it wouldn't matter whether she, or the Bottle Rockets, complained, since radio stations and networks pay umbrella licensing fees to royalties collection agencies that allow them to use whatever music they choose.
