Top Priority of 2006: Beat Jeb Bush
That is if he runs again. What top name democrat could we run against him if he does seek a third term?

1. He will be termed out. But his name is often floated as
a Senate candidate in 06 against Bill Nelson.

2. Asshole can't run (term limits)
Look for Jim Davis, a congressman from Tampa to be a strong candidate and our best and only realistic hope.

7. I'll be working for the Dem
I'm not optimistic about our chances. We'll run either Rep. Jim Davis, Rob Smith, or Scott Maddox. Realistically, Maddox is too young. I'd go with Davis or Smith.

The Repubs will run Tori Jennings, Charlie Crist, or Tom Gallagher.

We've got one hell of a fight on our hands in '06. Nelson will be the biggest target for a Republican pickup.

10. I think Nelson will be okay
He's in a safe (at least as safe as it gets for us in FL) area. Of course, I never thought that my side of the state would go with Martinez. Ugh..he is vile :(

11. Crist is going to be tough to beat
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 06:16 PM by derbstyron
with all of his work for hurricane victims. Davis is bright and talented (quite frankly the freaks in this state don't deserve him) but the slime machine will call him "liberal" and it will be all over by 11
:(

8. NO- BEAT RICK SANTORUM
I've been waiting 4 years to send that guy back to his bigoted hellhole. Right now, he's my top priority. We have to find a damn good candidate in Pennsylvania to take him down.

12. Ok, who should the candidate be?
Hoefell did better than expected, but we really need someone who can win.

14. Supreme Court more important
Top priority is to make sure whatever Senators we have left stay united in opposition to the Scalian judges that the fascists will nominate. Fuck everything else, but the Court nominees must be filibustered, come hell or high water.

17. Uh...not for FL
He will play well here and he has accumulated much good will due to his work through the hurricanes and other issues. IMO the repuke nomination is his to lose. Which means :(

PLUS he's pulling the BS Jeb method of lying. After Chiles (rest in peace...sigh) beat him our dear Jeb suddenly became more moderate and ran again.

Once in he revealed his true nature jamming his right wing crap down our throats. Hmmm..sound familar :(
