DEMOCRATS DIDN'T HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN... THIS COUNTRY IS FULL OF MORONS

Kerry wasn't my favorite personal candidate, but I'm well aware that my favorite candidate would have lost by much larger margins than Kerry. The democrats ran the best possible campaign with the best possible candidate ("best" in the sense of more chances to win). From a historical perspective, it's amazing it was even close. This country has embraced open fascism after 9/11. In the future, the democrats will either have to embrace "values" like racism or homophobia, a police-state in the sake of supposedly combating terrorism, and religion in all spheres of public life, OR assume they'll receive 30% of the votes. If Kerry, with his rational and middle-of-the-road campaign convinced only 48% of voters when running against the worst president in history, I don't think any other democrat will be able to do better any time soon. Sad but true.

4. I'm afraid you're right.
Time for a third party that will stand up for progressive values.
