A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
Some people are having problems with this fact. It's really quite simple.

A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.
A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.

Do you get it yet?

A CONCESSION SPEECH IS LEGALLY MEANINGLESS.

But please, feel free to keep attacking Kerry. It does so much to further the cause.

3. I think it means that you will not take actions on your own or
encourage others to act in your stead to change the result. This is only meaningful if you are a person of honor.

4. A person of honor wouldn't want the votes to be counted? (n/t)

5. I guess I mean that you are a man of your word, not honor.
When you concede, you are giving your promise to someone.

8. So you're saying that the votes shouldn't count?
He's conceding because it looks like he didn't win. In other words

Looks like he didn't win -> concession.

If the hypothesis (looks like he didn't win) later changes to false, it's not invalid to retract the concession.

Why don't you want the votes to be counted? Afraid we might find something?

6. I believe JK does want the votes to be counted
Perhaps, by conceding, the provisional and absentee ballots will be counted without any necessary judicial intervention.

18. Before Kerry spoke...
Edwards said they would keep their promise to us: every vote WILL BE COUNTED.

11. All I'm saying
is that a concession is not legally binding. People who are saying that the ballots will no longer be counted are either:

A) Liars
B) Fools.

voting machines?

the arithmetic of the outstanding provisional ballots or early votes is pretty black and white.

the BBV fraud (and suppression and disenfranchisement) is what "won" it for the little bushturd.

13. Pretty much
But the votes that we have will be counted. That much we can give to the voters. The rest might fall into place, but probably not.

16. I believe you are correct. A concession only means that
you will not hire lawyers to monitor and argue every action of the election boards. You are allowing the count to continue as usual. I presume that this means that if you are 100,000 votes behind and there are only 99,999 uncounted votes, there will not be lawyers trying to find extra votes to force an unnecessary count.

I got the feeling that Kerry/Edwards have something in their sleeves.

Just a gut but I may be wrong though.

17. Legally Meaningless? I heard him give it... It was "Thanks and Goodbye"
A Gracious speech, which thanked everyone and made great points...a lovely speech, kind and thoughtful.

But he conceded...He's gone. He said we should unite behind the President and he would keep working for us in the Senate.

What did you think he would be doing for us? He's gone as a Presidential Candidate. He ain't coming back.
