Young voters are the Democratic Party's new "Nader"
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 03:41 PM by mdmc
It's their fault that we lost. If they had gotten out and voted, we would have won.

If Nader didn't run in 2000, we would have won.

Lets take some responsibility. Nader deserves to run, as is his right. Young folks can stay home if they want; it is their right.

Even when we run a bona fide liberal, we still can't fight for what we beleive in.

1. Republican voters and non-voters are the enemy.
I made the same mistake in other posts, but let's not stereotype any group beyond that.

2. You could say that OR
you could say that the young people are the ones that will be affected by the results of this election for maybe the next 40 years rather than just the next 4.
Had I been in the position of quite possibly facing a return to the draft, the dismantling of Social Security and a few other things of that nature, I would have felt somewhat stupid for exercising my "right" to stay home.

3. Except that young voters DID get out and vote (moreso than in 2000)
And were the only age group to go decisively towards Kerry.

5. cut the bullshit
numbers of young voters were up this year.

Young voters OVERWHELMINGLY went for Kerry.

They are the only hope for the future.

If you want someone to blame, why don't we blame WHITE GUYS who voted overwhelmingly for Bush.
