Keep your eyes on the prize: 2006 is the next big test

Our try this year came up short, but the Republicans are going to provide us with an opportunity by overplaying their hand with their false mandate. The margin Bush won by was not overly impressive, though it was still depressing to us. A full six to eight percentage points of his vote did not come from those who believe in his agenda, but rather were turned off by Kerry or were scared to change administrations. These people could be turned off by the very stuff Bush is poised to do. He believes the American people want a right-wing agenda, but he is mistaken just as Bill Clinton was after 1992 when he pushed an agenda that was far too left-wing for the American people. We are down, but we can, through strong opposition to his policies, come back to win big in 2006. Let's go do it!
